Complex Towhead Transport Project
NXGEN have successfully delivered a complex
transport & engineering solution to relocate five
towhead structures from Wick Harbour.

Over the past few months, NXGEN have been working closely with our client to support the on-site transportation and loadout of various reels. The reels weighed up to 350Te with diameters of over 11 metres.
In order to provide a cost effective solution for our client, NXGEN mobilised two 5 axle lines paired with 6 axle SPMT modules and PPU’s to create an efficient solution for moving the various reels across site. This combination helped streamline the transport operation, whilst maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.
Additionally, to ensure that the reel loadout work was completed on time and without delay, the NXGEN team operated 24-hour shifts, to provide a smooth and efficient project delivery.
