
Module Route and Transport Study
NXGEN were contracted to provide route survey consultancy, from a port in Texas, to a petrochemical site, for
NXGEN was contracted to provide transport and lift plans, as well as a sea fastening design for the transport of steel modules approximately 150Te in weight. The modules were to be transported from the fabrication facility via SPMT, to be lifted by an LR1750 crawler crane onto a waiting coaster vessel for onward transportation.
Due to the design of the modules, it was not possible to attach lashing chains, therefore the sea fastening had to be designed to restrain the modules at the base only. NXGEN completed the sea fastening design and fabrication drawings.
