NXGEN have successfully delivered a complex transport & engineering solution to relocate five towhead structures from Wick Harbour.

Each lease hire agreement is tailored to the individual project scope and is available on a short or long term lease agreement. We pride ourselves on supplying equipment that’s specified appropriately for the project requirements and also fit for purpose. Therefore, our in-house specialists complete a full equipment check, prior to anything arriving on site. Any issues can be rectified quickly to minimise downtime and our equipment hire fleet always travel with a wide range of spares. NXGEN’s team of supervisors and operators are also available to accompany the equipment on site to provide additional flexibility to our customers .

NXGEN’s fleet of Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) provides a flexible and efficient solution for the transportation, loadout and positioning of heavy and oversized structures. Available on a hire-only basis or as part of a fully operated package, our SPMTs are supported by experienced engineers, operators and project personnel.
Suitable for projects across offshore energy, civil infrastructure, shipbuilding and industrial sectors, SPMTs offer exceptional manoeuvrability and load carrying capability. Combined with NXGEN’s engineering expertise, we deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective transport solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each project.
Our extensive crane hire fleet includes rough terrain cranes, tele crawler cranes and lattice boom crawler cranes, providing lifting solutions for projects of all sizes and complexities on long or short term hire. Available on a crane hire only or contract lift basis, our cranes can be supplied alongside experienced operators, supervisors and engineering support.
Whether supporting heavy lifting operations, infrastructure projects, fabrication activities or maintenance works, our team work with you to ensure the correct crane is selected for the lift. All equipment is fully inspected prior to mobilisation and backed by our commitment to safety, reliability and operational excellence.

The ideal solution to a range of heavy lift challenges including module and power generation installations, crankshaft exchanges and projects where crane access is limited, skidding systems offer a safe and cost effective alternative to conventional lifting methods.
Available in a range of capacities our systems can be integrated fully integrated across the NXGEN fleet to create a complete heavy lift, transport and installation solution tailored to your project requirements.
With a range of ballast pumps available, including high-capacity submersible pumps, we’re able to support each ballasting operation. Combining our equipment hire service with our naval architects and loadout engineers enables NXGEN to offer a hire only option through to full loadout engineering, equipment supply and operation.
NXGEN’s mooring winch fleet ranges from 10Te to 120Te capacity and is available to support marine operations worldwide. Designed to provide controlled movement and secure positioning of barges, vessels and structures, our winches are ideal for loadout, loadin and marine construction projects.
Supported by our in-house engineering team’s expertise in mooring analysis and marine operations, we can provide equipment only or a complete package including engineering, operational planning and site support personnel.

Our modular steelwork solutions are designed to provide adaptable and reusable support structures for heavy lift and transport projects. Manufactured to withstand demanding project environments, the steelwork can be configured for multiple applications including SPMT packing, transport beams, temporary bridging, support stands and specialist lifting arrangements.
Available for both hire and purchase, our modular approach delivers flexibility, efficiency and cost savings across a wide range of project scopes.
NXGEN utilises advanced compression load cell technology to deliver accurate and reliable weighing solutions across a wide range of industries. With capacities ranging from 5Te to 1,000Te and an accuracy of ±0.1% FS, our systems provide fully traceable load measurement for critical lifting, transport and loadout operations.
Load cells can be connected to a centralised readout system, with wireless monitoring options available where required. Supported by our experienced engineers, they provide confidence in load distribution, structural verification and project safety.
NXGEN’s modular link span systems provide a reliable connection between quaysides, barges and vessels during loadout and loadin operations. Engineered to accommodate varying operational requirements, link spans facilitate the safe transfer of heavy loads while managing changes in elevation and vessel movement.
Designed using our modular steelwork system, link spans can be rapidly deployed and adapted to suit project specific conditions. Combined with our engineering expertise, they form an integral part of efficient and safe marine transport operations.
